Hey, I have a pointy head

It looks as though all the puppies can hear....whew! Official tests (B.A.E.R) are scheduled for May 18. At that point we will have a better idea of which pup(s) will be available for "show".

Squash

The pups are becoming little dogs now. Romping around, barking, jumping on each other. They're a whole lot of fun! Hammet is actually yawning in this shot, but it looks like he's being squashed by James.

We can see!

I'm back from vacation just in time...the puppies eyes are opening and they are loosing their baby coat. You know what that means....the spots are coming.

Eat, sleep, repeat - what a life :)

Puppies sure sleep a lot. Hana says, "They eat a lot too!"

The "Puppy Pile" days have begun

Notice that the eye, nose and ear pigment comes in first. Soon we'll be noticing color on the rest of the pups body. FACTOID-Pigmentation continues throughout the life of a Dalmatian. Spots may expand slightly and new spots may appear.

Hana's settling in just nicely

Kathy sends her greetings from sunny California while Kris is manning the fort back home. Hana and the pups are doing GREAT. Pretty soon the spots on the pups will be coming out and their eyes and ears will start opening. That's always an exciting time.
My hunch is the markings are going to be gorgeous on these pups! Can't wait!!!

A Day of Rest

Hana's looking good here, but boy is she tired. What a night! All pups are doing wonderfully as is their tired mom.

2 more puppies...

Hana had 2 more puppies this AM. I think (kinda hope) she's done. She went outside for a nano-second then raced back in to her brood. Looks like 4 boys and 4 girls, but don't quote me on it...I'm a little sleep deprived. All pups appear healthy and are nursing like crazy. I'll snap a picture when all calms down.

Puppies!! Puppies!! Puppies!!

Guess what?

PUPPIES!! x 6 Maybe more...

Hana had her first pup, a boy, around 12:45 AM.
She waited an agonizing 5 hours to have pups 2,3 &4.
Then she took and hour break and had pups 5 & 6.
I haven't checked the sexes of the others yet.
They were all so peacefully nursing I didn't want to disturb them.

Check for an update later on this AM.

No pups yet

No puppies yet, but Hana didn't want her kibble this AM, even with the free range chicken broth added (usually a big hit). Maybe today or night could be the day?!

Rumor has it these "puppies to be's" half-brother won the DCA National futurity competition yesterday. If so, congrat's to Rebok!

The profile says it all

The camera doesn't lie :))

Hana hides her belly

It's hard to tell from this picture...hana hides her belly very well. I'll try to get a profile at feeding time.

Hana

This is Hana, Ch XTerra N Erin's Moonlight Sonata. Boy, her belly has undergone some serious change since this picture was taken. I'll try to catch a picture of her ever expanding waistline

Dylan

Hana and Dylan are expecting puppies...

This is a picture of Dad, "Dylan". His registered name is Am/Can Ch Cranbrooke Special Delivery.

Today is Monday and Dylan and Hana are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their puppies. Her due date is Thursday. We had an xray done on Friday and at least 6 pups were confirmed :).
